We&rsquo;re combining two amazing desserts to get this <strong>No Bake Peanut Butter Pie<\/strong>. Are you ready?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I made a slight change to my small batch <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dessertfortwo.com\/peanut-butter-rice-krispie-treats\/\">peanut butter rice krispies treats<\/a><\/span> and pressed them into the shape of a pie crust in my pie pan. While they&rsquo;re a little firm when super cold, they make the best crust for pie because they hold everything together very well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The peanut butter filling is a classic cream cheese, whipping cream and peanut butter situation. We&rsquo;re not using Cool Whip because I&rsquo;ve never liked it. It takes absolutely zero extra time or effort to add heavy cream instead of the chemical oil-based white stuff. Two cups of dry rice krispies cereal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Peanut Butter<\/strong>. We need 1\/3 cup of peanut butter for the crust and another 1 cup for the no bake filling. I use a natural-style peanut butter that doesn&rsquo;t need much stirring (I like the Jif Naturals one). You can use whatever you like, but if you use a super sweet one, you might need to reduce the sugar by a few tablespoons so it&rsquo;s not too sweet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Honey<\/strong>. I use 1\/3 cup of honey to hold the rice cereal together. Spray your measuring cup with cooking spray before using it to measure honey so that it slides right out.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cream Cheese<\/strong>. One 8-ounce (227 grams) cream cheese that you have softened to room temperature on the counter. The best way to do this is to open the package and slice it into large chunks and leave it exposed to air for at least 4 hours. It should be very soft, otherwise, there will be small white chunks in the final slice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Powdered Sugar<\/strong>. Since this is no-bake, we&rsquo;re using much finer powdered sugar to ensure it fully dissolves. We need 3\/4 cup for the filling and another 2 tablespoons to make the whipped topping.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Heavy Whipping Cream<\/strong>. Instead of Cool Whip, we&rsquo;re using 1 cup of heavy whipping cream in the filling. It whips up with the same texture but even better flavor than the frozen weird oil-based stuff. If you want a whipped cream topping, you need an extra 1 cup to make it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vanilla<\/strong>. One teaspoon of pure vanilla extract to balance the peanut butter flavor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-make-no-bake-peanut-butter-pie\">How to Make No Bake Peanut Butter Pie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First, lightly spray a 9-inch pie pan with cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine the rice cereal, peanut butter and honey. Stir very well until homogenous.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>3. Next, combine the cream cheese, powdered sugar, 1 cup of peanut butter, 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, and vanilla in a bowl. Beat until very smooth and fluffy, about 4 minutes. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>5. Spread the peanut butter mixture into the pie crust, and smooth the surface flat. Still delicious, though!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can freeze extra slices for up to 6 months tightly wrapped in freezer-safe products.
